Audrey Shapiro

Fifth Avenue, New York

Jenna and I were getting ready to head home from a long afternoon on Fifth Avenue when, Audrey came walking towards us. Jenna and I fell in love with her jumpsuit immediately and needed her to be featured on Jenzemi. After we worked up the courage to approach her, we stopped her in front of Bergdorf Goodman. She had a bright personality and did not hesitate to let us interview her.

What’s your name?

What do you do?

“I’m a student currently, but I’m interning at the Manhattan District Attorney’s office this summer.”

What occasion are you dressed for today?

“I was just at lunch with my family.”

Ah, okay. Who is your style inspiration?

“My mom.”

Your mom? That’s so nice. Can you tell us where each part of your outfit is from?

“Yeah, sure. This is from J Crew actually (referring to jumpsuit). I honestly don’t know even know where these shoes are from. Let me see. I don’t know, just some random brand.”

And your necklace?

“Oh, my necklace, my mom makes them.”

Your mom makes them? That’s so cool. They’re really pretty.

“Thank you.”

What’s your favorite store?

“My favorite store...I don’t know, I really like Topshop. I also really like Iro and Zadig and Voltaire.”

Is all of your jewelry made by your mom?

“Uh, no, it’s all different. I don’t know where they’re from.”

Do you think that your style reflects your personality?

“Yeah, normally it does. Today it’s a little bit more businessey because I went to meet my dad and a couple of work associates for lunch, so I don’t know, it’s a little more businessey. But it generally does.”

Thank you Audrey for being so kind and letting us interview you!
